What do you do when you want to buy a new product but you don't know where you want to buy it?
Google it.
If the immediate links that you get when searching for the item have the word ad under the description than those are examples of paid search marketing. Even when you are not searching for a specific product google uses keywords to give you results that may have significance to your search.
For example if you search the word appliances then google will give you the top results that include the key word or phrase.
Search engines provide a variety of match types for advertisers to specify the searches they wish to target. A company's ad will show up on the search results if one of the keywords of your search matches any of the words on the company's list. This helps the company get more search results then simply using a letter-for-letter matching method. Search engines also have technology to make sure that the wrong keywords are not used for specific searches. For example, if you were to look up the word "dress shoes" then the search engine knows that the word "dress" is not a keyword of your search and will not pull up links for dresses. It is also important to take other factors into account such as Geography, language, timing, and device being used.
In order to get the best search results for your consumers then you must have accurate keywords in your company's list in order maximize website visits. It is always best to make sure that your customers are getting the results that they want to see so that they are more inclined to make that next purchase. Its always important to target the audience that is most likely to purchase your products and not waste time on people that aren't. Just because someone does a search that indicates an interest in your product does not mean a company should show them their specific ad. Its always important to make sure you know your target audience and who will be most likely to be interested in your company.
